The "9 to 5" star will be the 60th recipient of the award granted for career and humanitarian accomplishments, which will be bestowed at the 31st annual SAG Awards (streaming on Netflix Feb. 23).Fonda's previous honors include two Oscars ("Klute" and "Coming Home"), two BAFTA Awards, an Emmy, the 2015 AFI Life Achievement Award and the 2024 Time magazine Earth Award. "I have been working in this industry for almost the entirety of my life and there's no honor like the one bestowed on you by your peers," said Fonda, who noted she is a "proud" SAG-AFTRA member.
SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher called Fonda "a trailblazer and an extraordinary talent" and "a dynamic force who has shaped the landscape of entertainment, advocacy and culture with unwavering passion" in the release.
